pronunciations list

[Shish-kabob-Forrest]

Been working on getting pronunciations correct using eastern verbs. This is what I have so far. Vlad, correct me on any of these if I am wrong.

Special terms used:



* "gh" - represents the sound of clearing ones throat.



* "dth" - represents the hard "th" and/or "d" sound the "d" and "r" makes in the Spanish word for 3 "dres" . Also serving as an indicant that the sound is used between a "d" and "r" in the sentience if both exist (exactly where will be obvious.



* "d.dth" - The exact same sound as the beginning of the Spanish word for 3 "dres". Example: Dres...........d.dthes



* "dt" - makes a sharp end sound often heard in the British accent.

I know that Kesjthe is also referred to sometimes as Cachtice (pronounced as it sounds.



I don't have a microphone but my camera takes audio AVI's so I made an avi that is blank in picture but contains these pronunciations in the above order.

Done, even though I don't agree with the phonetic translation. But hey, I don't think anybody cares much, no offense.

Daniel Jones produced such a dictionary way back.



E.G./For Instance: In Webster's Dictionary, all words have a phonetic translation next to them - Electron= e-lec'tron, and so on..and so forth.

I appreciate you trying to phonetically explain the Romanian terms, and yet...it cannot be that BRASHOV...is pronounced

"b.dtho-shov", TRUST ME.



It's more like:"Bra-shov"

Hmm. That's how my friend from Brasov says it. Maybe she is just slipping it that way from fast, casual speech. My Ukrainian friends do the same with the word Makarov. I have herd them pronounce it both: McR-Ov and mac-o-dO depending on their tone of speech.
