Romanian MIORITIC shepherds

One breed of dogs which should be mentioned as being able to protect cattle, sheep, homesteads and fight bears, is called Mioritic Shepherds.

We have no idea why, to this day, the American Kennel did not take this breed into consideration.

When in Bucharest, at one of his famous concerts, the late great opera singer Luciano Pavarotti, had been presented with a Mioritic shepherd puppy, as a gift from the Romanian people.
Greatly appreciated by the late artist, we might add.
