The Shield of Christendom

Just so you guys know, their will be a prequel to: "The War of All Ages" It will NOT revolve around Vladislav III. It will revolve motley around Janos Hunyadi. The story WILL have Vladislav Dracul in it and Vladislav III will also pop up now and then and become much more involved in the final stage of the story. This probably sounds boring to you but by the time you finish TWAA, you will likely be impatient to read the prequel. IMHO, Janos Hunyadi was a much more fascinating person then Vladislav III and I personally think: "The Shield of Christendom", "The War of All Ages" prequel is going to be a much more interesting and entertaining story.



Though I MAY end up changing the starting point, the book, at this time, starts with the battle of Black Birds and ends just after Janos Hunyadi's death. Vladislav IIIs final appearance in: "The Shield of Christendom" is at the exact same moment and event where "The War of All Ages" begins. In that sense, TWAA starts exactly where Vladislav IIIs part in "The Shield of Christendom" leaves off down to the minute.

It is the 15th century and the Catholic Church has neared it's climax in political power. Catholic Church leaders are growing excessively corrupt and Catholic civilization nears it's worst period in history of bitter conflict with it's East Orthodox neighbors. In the midst of the growing corruption in Christian civilization, violence begins to grow between Christian civilization and the Muslim Ottoman Empire. Utterly dedicated to the God of Israel, the Hungarian Steward: "Janos Hunyadi" has launched a campaign to defend Christendom from the growing threat in the east but just as importantly, to save Christendom from decay within it's self. As the Ottoman Empire sets there sights on Constantinople, the Hungarian Steward struggles to bring the people of Europe together to fight the growing threat and at the same time, restore dignity, honor, humility and morality to the people of his own faith. With the support of Friar Giovanni of Capistrano (San Juan Capistrano) and of Vladislav Basarab III of Wallachia (Vlad the Impaler) he fights a seemingly loosing battle to defend his lands from falling in to Turkish hands and should he fail, the chances of the survival of Christendom will be very shallow and for this, the pope has labeled his lands and campaign: "The Shield of Christendom".
