Islam is origin to the birth of Ishmael son of Abraham BC. Abraham's wife Sara who was barren asked for a child she could raise herself. She gave her servant girl Hagar to Abraham. He was waiting for the promise child but Sara his wife became impatient. Abraham sought God's word. He laid with the slave girl who bore him a child. Abraham gave him the name Ishmael. His firstborn son Ishmael is the child of the bondswoman who does not inherit the promise of the free woman when Isaac is born later. Isaac is lineage to David who is lineage to Joseph who is father to raise Jesus when HE is born.
