Not as bloody

Hay guys, just a quick note about the book. It is turning out to not be nearly as bloody as even I thought (already aware that the focus on Vladislavs military life would significantly reduce exposure in the story to his civil brutality for which he is famed for.


The first part of the book has some gruesome moments (and when it gets gruesome, it gets VERY gruesome) but the second half is almost strictly battlefield and politics, minus the final battle for which Vladislav becomes the head turning monument.


I suspect allot of readers are looking forward to a back to back gruesome story and I hate to break it to you but I don't think that's what it's going to be.


On the contrary, the story IS focused on his military life and does a good job of exposing why people in his homeland remember him as a hero. Overall, his role in the story is a heroic one. In that respect, I think the book is going to be very popular among south-east Europeans.
