And so it goes, that Romanian citizens abroad are being neglected and disconsidered, totally, denied Romanian passports since the TODAY's Ro Gov decides to ask for records beyond their leverage and authority, using as an "excuse" joining the EU.

Like Hell they should!
If a person is born Romanian, he/she should be entitled to Romanian citizenship. Of course, there are some details. For example, is some kind of military service obligatory in Romania? And if so, are the persons who want the specific citizenship willing to go through with it? These are indeed details, and the whole matter should be based on personal choice, meaning that someone born Romanian should be offered Romanian citizenship and the person could decide on weather he/she wants it or not. A country should always embrace her children.
