\nNo mishaps or over radiating patients, while we were in charge. We were working for R Squared of CORONA, at the time, as super field engineer. 1989.<\/p>\n
The Romanian revolution happened.<\/p>\n
We broke down and they fired us, after one fellow went away, and we ended up with 3 more hospital scanners on our hands. We had a total of 6 scanners on our hands.
\nSomething was bound to break down at any given moment. We were ON CALL 24\/7.
\nThat was waaaaay too much.<\/p>\n
Servicing Computerized Axial Tomography – CAT Scanners, is a “DOG eat DOG” type of business. We’ve found that out the hard way.<\/p>\n
We are talking about High Voltage transformers, X-Ray tubes, computers, imaging equipment and all the rest, until a doctor gets an image on the screen.<\/p>\n
That Radiologist DR\/MD…and\/or Technician could not define whether a lump or blot is an artifact or a real cancer cell.<\/p>\n
We had to load up the phantom disk (no easy task), re-scan it, so that there were no artifacts produced by the X-ray scanner.<\/p>\n
Eventually, we were hired by Southern CATS of Ontario, CA. We installed a CAT scanner in remote CHINA,(GE-8800) for them. February, 1992.
\nGoing there blind, without being told were we were going.
\nAn Indiana Jones type of experience. More to follow….<\/p>\n
When we came back to US, they let us go because we asked for over time pay, after being given no allowance and sending us to remote China, border with Mongolia,
\nfor 2 weeks without pay\/advanced money, or anything. We went there, did our job, and returned to our dear home in the USA.
\nWe thank GOD for helping us, escape again from communism.<\/p>\n
A DOG EAT DOG industry, for sure.<\/p>\n
We asked for Labor Board help. There was a short meeting, and they ruled in favor of Southern CATS.<\/p>\n
These companies….R Squared and Southern Cats, supposedly servicing CAT scanners, should be investigated by the US GOV.<\/p>\n
They may be employing illegal immigrants. From Mexico or from Phillippines. Using them as slaves. Little money and high demands.<\/p>\n
1993 -S.C.P.I.E – A great Insurance company for Doctors. Southern California Physicians Insurance Exchange.<\/p>\n
We were lucky enough to be part of that TEAM.<\/p>\n
We would serve Subpeonas, and later ON, scanned records. Medical records.<\/p>\n
Doctors being accused of malpratice….SCIPIE trying to defend them.<\/p>\n
We scanned medical records at Dr offices, Lawyer offices, hospitals and GOV offices.<\/p>\n
Granted we noticed a lot of malpractice incidents. Period.<\/p>\n
To this day, we are sure that malpractice is happening.
\nHowever, most of it is because of NURSES and NURSE assistants who do not follow PROTOCOL.<\/p>\n
The biggest mistakes in the Medical Industry is caused by miscommunication\/or lack of communication.<\/p>\n
The left leg needs to be amputated, and they amputate the right leg. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?
\nHow many people does it take to define the right procedure to the right limb?<\/p>\n
Some nurses feel like playing GOD, and they pull the plug on you. It had been proven many a time.<\/p>\n
Pray to GOD that you do not end up in a hospital. Better to die at home, than in a hospital which will kill you much faster.<\/p>\n
