soccer will have a good chance
Do you think soccer will have a good chance at taking interest away from basketball? I think soccer has a good chance of taking interest away from basketball in America. I don't understand why Major League Soccer doesn't attack basketball. First of all, basketball requires you to be very tall to be successful at it. Why not go after young kids with a promotion that you don't have to be a giant to be a success in that sport? That way, you have more kids playing soccer, watching the games and buying the merchandise.

Not a chance. All the big league sports (basketball, baseball, football, hockey, even golf), together with college championships, occupy most of the media time spots. European and WORLD sports don't stand a chance.omnika111 wrote:Do you think soccer will have a good chance at taking interest away from basketball? Sports like soccer (THE actual football game) and/or team handball (second best in the world, after soccer, popularity wise) do not stand a chance here in these US. The media time is already taken and sold and re-sold for many years to come.
